I recently purchased an 03 accord coupe auto 4 banger 74k miles . Im averaging 31 mpg driving 70 mph and 95% of my time on the highway. Is this normal? Should I be seeing a bit better?

That sounds kinda normal. Our 2003 gets a little better, but it's 5-speed. It depends strongly on your driving habits, but it's in the right range.
