Default MPG and Valve Adjustment

Will adjusting valves that were out of tolerance improve fuel economy? I'm now getting much better gas mileage unless it has something to do with the warmer weather.

It's mostly the weather. Valves out of adjustment have a relatively weak influence on economy.

Also, most cities are done with winter-blend gasoline now.

I didin't notice any improvement in MPG after getting valves adjusted. I did notice an inprovement when I replaced my t-stat that was stuck pen.

Yeah...that would certainly have an impact, since the engine never gets up to temp...
