Default Murky Headlight Assembly Lenses. Do y'all try to clean/polish them? Or, replace them?

I have a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L that I just got a little over 3 months ago, back in June, and I started to notice that the headlights are not very bright (at least, not as bright as I'd expect them to be). So, after taking a look at them from the outside, I realized that the assembly lenses are really murky/faded and definitely do not look nice and clear, like they once did. So, with this surely being an issue that most/all of us get to deal with, I'm wondering, what do y'all do, when this happens to your headlight assembly lenses?

Is it worth trying to somehow polish/clean/clear the outer lenses off with something? If so, what's a good way to try to do this? Are those headlight lens polishes worth trying? Is there some sort of simple cleaning solution that can work for this? And will this likely make a significant difference, that will last for years?

Or, is it better to just buy new headlight assemblies? If so, about how much should I expect to pay for a pair of them? $100? $125? $150? More? And where would be a good place to try to buy them? Amazon? eBay? Mercari? RockAuto? Some other online seller/site? And if I do end up buying new headlight assemblies, will it be difficult to remove the old one and install the new ones? Or is it fairly simple and straightforward?

For the record, cost is a concern, so I would really like to try to avoid spending $100-$150 on new headlight assemblies, if I can. However, I have a really long commute (76 miles each way) and I work late-nights, so, having headlights that work well and can be really bright, if needed, is important and helpful. Also, I'm going to try to post a couple pics of my outer headlight lenses, and I wanted to mention that about 65 miles of my commute is driving through the mountains and rural areas and bugs are an issue, which is why my outer headlight lenses are so dirty, besides the fading that has happened.

If someone would like to reply and offer me some helpful feedback and suggestions, I would really appreciate it.
