RE: My "Steering Wheel"
Mbo, I think you made a good call on this Question..
When replaceing your Motor Mounts I would also Replace that Transmission mount also.

It's probably a worn out rear motor mount. I bet your car is automatic, right?

The guy that sold me the car had paper work for a replaced motor mount, I think it was the front one though. I'll have to check that out. But I think it was for the rear motor mount and he had changed it only a couple of months ago =/

i agree with MBO.. the rear mounts wil cause most of the shaking, also make sure all the other mounts are ok,, if the rear was replaced as you might think,, than you need to chk to make sure it is getting vacc at rear mount diaphram at idle speed below 700 rpm .
if rear mount has not been replaced ,, and it is needed , replace it ,,

Yeah, definetly check for that vacuum. Listen to deserthonda - he knows his stuff
And WheelBrokerAng has a good point. If you plan on changing that rear mount you may as well replace the transmission one and maybe even the one on the driver's side too. But most of that vibration is likely caused by that rear one.

RE: My "Steering Wheel"
put a floor jack under the tranny or engine toward the rear and have someone jack it up while you watch the rear mount ,if it is broken , you definatelly will know,, it will separate ..
