My 2000 accord has low idle after initially starting the car up
I can start up my car just fine. I let it sit for a few minutes and when I start trying to get out my driveway the cars battery light comes on. I turn my car off and when I turn back on it's fine and I can drive the car no problems. It only does this after I first turn my car on, and I don't have the problem otherwise. I've read a lot about cleaning air filters or the idle air control valve. Do you think that could be what it is or something else?

I moved this out from the other thread because this is a bit different so it won't confuse the other thread.
Is your car a 4-cyl or V-6? Automatic trans?
It doesn't seem like the air filter or IAC valve would have anything to do with the battery warning lamp. When the battery lamp comes on, does the engine stall? Or would it drive away OK if you didn't turn it off & back on?

My take is the battery warning lamp is simply the result of the low idle situation and should be ignored unless and until you get the idle issue corrected and the light continues to illuminate.
As for what is causing the low idle, it could be lots of issues, but I rather doubt it is either the air filter or the IACV. This might be one of those times where it will be better/faster/cheaper to take it to a professional for diagnosis.
