Did anyone of you who hear the sound think that it might be coming from the starter??

its a V6...and the sounds stays on as long as the car is on......it is loudest when the car is idling...when i accelerate the noise gets softer and is drowned out by the engine...but as soon as i start to slow down it starts gettin louder

Alternator maybe?

Could be torque converter but I think you would notice that as the car would not be accellerating normally.

The Delphi alt's on these cars are known for high failure rates.....
