Default misaligned headlight assembly

Alright, this has been a work in progress. I have replaced my passenger side headlight assembly with an aftermarket and everything was going well until I had it in place and noticed that the light/assembly seems slightly deeper into the body of the car. What I mean is when I bring the hood of the car down, the lip of the hood actually passes the top side of the headlight (not flush) as compared to the driver side. I tried adjusting the angle of the headlight (beam) and this didn't help much. I don't know if this is a problem with the fact that it is an aftermarket or I need to adjust something else. Tempted to take the car to a body shop. As usual, any help is greatly appreciated.
