Default my driver side low beam headlight has burned out 3 times

For some reason my driver side low beam headlight has burned out 3 times and in that time the passenger side low beam headlight hasn't burned out once. I've been using the one step down from the most expensive silvers stars which are I think the ZXE. Just doesn't make sense.

I have a Nissan Altima that burns out lamps much faster than my Accord.
Can't explain. For your sake, hope someone else can.

Pure speculation...

After a lot of people said the same thing on another board, it was suggested that adjusting the bump stops that control the position of the leading edge of the hood might do it. When you close the hood it hits these stops & maybe they're adjusted in a way that hits the lamps harder than usual??

Do you instal them yourself? I assume you are very careful not to touch them. If you have them installed, go some where else. Try another brand. The post above makes sense.

My opinion is it is due to the use of the Silverstar bulbs.

I tried Silverstar bulbs one time, they burned out within a matter of months; never again.

I had silverstar bulbs burn out quicker than the regular bulbs. I'd look at the headlight housing and make sure is not loose. Maybe excessive vibration is causing the bulb to fail? Just a guess.
