Default my friends audi

So i helped my friend change his spark plugs on his a4 and his check engine came on so we took it to autozone and they checked it and they said cylinder 1 was misfiring wat can cause that, oh by the way we didnt replace wire can that be it?

make sure that the wire is pressed on all the way to both the distributor and the plug, it sounds like a problem with the wire making contact to the spark plug

yeah because my friend wants to know if its something fixable with out buying the wires because theyre running like $190

the best thing to do is buy spark plug wires... however, if you just want to repair what you have then take a look inside the plug wire, can you see the connection? is it broken? sometimes you can slide the rubber boot (that part that goes around the spark plug) back down the wire and expose the connection, then repair the connection as needed and maybe clean it a little bit, slide the rubber cover/boot back down and connect it to the spark plug then try it
