is my rad shot? (new inst. questions inside)
not sure if it's anti freeze or not. looks a little thick to be... i just picked up the rad already removed from the old vehicle and there was/is some of this stuff sitting in one of the bottom hoses. they just chopped the hoses when they removed the rad from the car. i'm going to clean it out before installing it anyway. i'm going to start the installation process in an hour or so. hopefully all goes well and I don't need any more parts as i'm in the middle of nowhere right now.i'll be back if i have any more questions :P thanks guys.
Since you're in the middle of nowhere and you need an immediate fix, just stuff some paper toweling or a small piece of a rag in the tranny cooler lines. It should look like a single strip of baseboard, like what's inside the casing in a home. kinda like this:
--|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|--
--|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|--
my old rad had caps to cover the two tranny lines. new problem though. stupid one. can't find the bleeder bolt?! i have the shop manual and the picture isn't much help at all...
