My son's accord is plagueing me
I am hoping someone on this forum can give me some guidence. Here is my situtation. My son started an engine swap on his 93 accord, he tells me he is replacing the F22a1 with a F22b2. The F22b2 is in the car, it has started by pouring gas down it's throat. There are pieces everywhere and the project has been stalled for months now. I want my garage back.
I am no slouch when it comes to repairing my cars but this is intimidating. I am figuring on baby steps here so I am going to intall the throttle body first, I believe there is one here the will work but the linkage is an unknown.
Pictures later.

If it was started by pouring some gas in the intake then there must be a harness hooked up.
I am not real experienced at the swaps but I am wondering why the harness from the other motor will not work. If some sensors are different couldn't they just be swapped over from the old motor.
What are the differences in 90-93 motors and 94-95 motors? I thought they were almost the same.
Now if it is a 96-97 motor then the dist needs to be swapped from the other motor.
Am I wrong?

They, they being my son and friends who started the swap, have done something the harness around the spark plugs. going by memory I think each plug has a coil and there are bare wires with electrical tape to each coil. I don't recall there being a distrbutor but could be wrong.
Ok, so I am getting older and my memory is not what it use to be.
The is a distributor and it is from the old engine. The wires I 'remembered' going to the plug coils go to the fuel rail.
Bought a gasket and installed a throttle body, think it is from the old engine; I have three to choose from. The throttle cable does not have a spot to bolt the bracket support to plus I think it is to short so I am planing on a run to Pick a part this weekend.
Would it be worth it to get the ECU from a '96? (that is the computer under the floor mate?)

no I would not recommend a 96 ECU (yes it is under the floor)
96 is OBD II
Your computer should work fine
How about posting several large pictures of how everything looks right now.
That would help us to help you.

Roger that on the photos.
Appparaently the threat to part it out has worked. Got home last night and 'the boy' and a friend had done quite a bit of work to it. Reinstalled the raditator and hoses for instance. He said they were going to try and start it but the battery was dead. They even pushed it out of the garage. So tonight I will inspect what they did and take some picktures.
