Default Mysterious valve train issue...1991 accord

A mystery to me anyhow. The bottom end of this motor was rebuilt at 160,000,its at 194xxx now.The top end has had a tic at HIGH rpms right before you shift forever, recently the tic has turned into a annoying TAP at almost all rpm ranges, the weird thing is that it comes and goes, seems to get louder as it warms up.At cold idle the motor is SILENT.I pulled the valve cover and checked all the valve adjustments a couple needed tweeking but it had no effect on the mystery noise.I did notice that the springs that keep the rocker arms over the valves seemed weak,I can slide the rocker arm over off the valve stem with little effort,is this normal?Could this be the source,is one of the rockers working its way off the valve and tapping? Are these springs available so I can replace them?If any of you have adressed this issue Id appreciate your input!THANX!

My initial thought was for you to do a valve adjustment, but you already did that.

When the rocker is pushing down on the valve, is there still play?
