Several months ago my voice command system stopped working. It would either misunderstand the command - or now - it acts as if it doesn't even hear the command. The mic is definitely working because when I go into the system diagnostics page in the Navi, you can check the mic volume and it definitely shows that levels are bouncing on the VU meter.

In a very quiet environment, when I press the voice command button, it almost sounds like I can hear a hard drive spin up and then it stops and the voice command fails. Any help? I really LOVED my voice command system, and now I'm lost without it!

I'm sorry, but that probably something internally wrong and you're either going to have to replace the unit or bring it to the dealer. Either way, mucho $$$.
