I recently put new front brake pads on a 2001 Accord EX. After I finished and started the car the maintenance required light came on and flashed ten times, then went off. It does this every time I start the car. I disconnected the battery cable for about 10 minutes and this did not solve the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

With the key off, press and hold the odometer reset button, while holding the button, turn the key on and wait about 10 seconds and release the odometer reset button, this will resetthe light for another 7500miles.

Nope, just dum luck. It just comes up based on mileage since it was last cleared.
