Was it OK before you put the new battery in?

Look for loose/dirty/corroded connections at the OTHER ends of both battery cables.

Have someone try starting while you hit the starter with a broom-handle. If that works, you need a new starter (or rebuild yours).

If it was the starter, all the electrical components and dash lights would be working... And they are not. Have the battery tested. May be a dud. Also could have a bad alternator. Were you driving the car those days in between when you bought the new battery and it going dead?

That's correct. So I guess hitting the starter wasn't the smartest suggestion.

New batteries can be bad right out of the box. Cables can be corroded where the cable itself crimps into the end-connector. Bad connection at the fusebox so EVERYTHING is affected?

Have you tried to jump start it?

I would clean both ends of battery cables and then try to jump start it.

If it starts, with the car running, measure the volts at the battery terminals.

if it started ok after installing new battery ,, perhaps you left something on ?? dead battery now ?? did you try jump starting it ?? did you have new battery tested??
did you drive car after replacing battery?? car been starting ok for few days ??have charging system tested,, possible bad alternator,?? possible electrical drain ??

the way it sounds is that you replaced the battery, turned over ok,, you left and came back few days later and nothing works
