Need help: oil and power steering issue
You mean the power-steering reservoir? Yeah, my first thought is the fluid foaming up will cause it to overflow.
Another thing is the the reservoir filter/screen. The reservoir has a fine mesh screen down low (submerged). If that gets full of crud then the pump can't suck fluid so it sucks air in wherever it can.

That is exactly what my mechanic told me later. I went ahead and had the entire pump replaced and the system flushed and filled with with Honda brand fluid. there are no issues now. and luckily almost all of it was covered under my warranty. i only paid like $50 for a new pump installed with a flush
