Need ignition help

As general maintenance I put a new timing belt and balance belts in my friends 1992 Acord. It doesn't have a crank sensor. Now we lost ignition. We have no spark at the plugs. The timing was double and trippled checked. It is in time. This dist has the coil in the dist. The only thing that I may have done is I had to use a 3/4" impact on the crank bolt and that may have pounded pretty good on the engine. Maybe it hit the bolt hard enough to rattle a senso hard enough to kill it. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a place where I can find trouble shooting steps for the dist?
Thanks for any help or idea"s.

you did not rattle anything........hell i use a 3/4 inch impact most of the times...
if it is a 1992 the coil should be outside the distributor... at least in a u.s car...
doublechk all the work you did, if you left something unplugged.. It could be a weird coincidence but you might have ignitor issues ...

hmm im gonna think about it a little... because i just put a belt in my 91 like two weeks ago. i know i pulled the valve cover off so i took all the wires out and if you didnt put them back in. hey what about that little ground wire that hooks up to the top of the valve cover did you hook that back up? i dont know how important that is desert would know better than me, but it should be hooked up nonetheless. since you can check timing im guessing you have a multimeter squirmin around in your box somewhere...pull that thing out. what plugs is he running? bosch? .....check the coil first. it should be separate from the distributor unless its not a 92
there is a 4p connector going to it that is how you check to see if its good. look at the connector with clip insert pointing up and label the terminals in your head..
top left - A
bottom left - B
top right - C
bottom right - D
with the ignition off. unplug the 4p connector running to it and the SECONDARY winding terminal.
measure the resistance between terminals A..... and C resistance should be .6 - .8 ohms
measure resistance between terminal A and the Secondary winding terminal resistance should be 14000- 22000 ohms
measure resistance between terminals b and d resistance should be between 2090 and 2310 ohms.
test the resistance between terminals a and b there should be continuity present.....so it should NOT read just 1.
ANY test condition not met means you need a new coil.
now on to the ignitor like desert said.
remove the distributor cap and rotor and the inner cover.... disconnect the black/ yellow.......the light green......the yellow/green......and the blue wires from the ignitor....
with the ignition on...
check for voltage between the black/yellow wire and ground...voltage should be present.
voltage should be present between the light green wire and ground.
with the ignition OFF....
check the resistance between the terminals which connect to the blue and light green wires it should be 1100 - 1300 ohms
any test condition not met means you need a new ignitor.
I dont think anything would have blown out with just changing a timing belt....was that all you did? you probably just didnt hook something up right but i cant think right now about what you could have possibly unpluged that would make the car not get any spark....i can think of many things you could have done that would make the car not RUN though. if i think of anything else ill make another post.

Some more info. The car is registered as a 1992. The coil is in the dist. I can't imagine that the car has been modifed from the oem setup. It does not have a crank trigger. Even if I had the timing screwed up or the balance shafts timed wrong I would think it would still make a spark. One thing I noticed in a repair manual was it said before you disconnect the battery be sure you have the radio security code? The owner doesn't think the car has this. Could this be a possible problem? It does have ignition power to the dist. I am off now checking the coil and igniter. Thanks for the info.
