Help! My 96 accord coupe has hair coming outof my tailpipe! What is up with this? I don't think anything can get in there, neighborhood kids pranking me? Seriously it looks like rapunzel crawled out of my muffler :/

 

That is a new one? Could this be some sort of "sound material" coming out....I know some mufflers have fiber glass type material inside the muffler.

 

It is probably the sound-deadening material inside the muffler. Probably time for a new muffler.

Ok guys there's the scoop. I need a new muffler. Oddball event yesterday and a first ever for me. Had me flipping out at work. It's a Honda thing, this hair. And accords only I guess. Mufflers only 4 years old too. It's made by walker so not sure about it. My Honda sounds like crap tho now :/ she's a rice on crack. Saving up for a new muffler. The going joke at work was relative to the sticker "if your going to ride my *** at least pull my hair" lol! Glad it wasn't something worse tho.

 

So we were correct or at least we are all thinking the same thing.

 

*update* got this new sound. You know the One? When a semi slows down or coasts on the highway? Its a muffled rumble? Oh Yea baby My accord has been customized, ever since I dropped rapunzel My slipper sounds like a crotch rocket on acceleration and a semi on the decel. LOL. Had to post this Its insane.
