Default Neutral Safety Switch?

1992 Honda accord, Auto tranny: Every now and then my car will not start. it cranks but does not start. When this happens a green segment light around the "D4" indicator on the transmission shift indicator flashes. Thinking it might be the shift lever isn't properly seated I've attempted moving the shift lever from "Park" to other positions, then back to "Park", but this has no effect. This only happens after after the car has been driven recently. It has never happened on a "cold" start. If I wait ten or fifteen minutes, it starts up. Could it be the Neutral safety switch? Might there be two legs to the switch, one for cranking and the otherfor ignition? Is there an adjustment I can make or should it be replaced? If not the neutral safety switch what else might cause this to happen?

difficult warm start-up can indicate advanced timing. I believe the neutral safety switch will now allow the engine to crank.

The fact the green segment light for "D4" flashes when this happens might be just a coincidence, but I think it might be related. Any thoughts why this segment light would flash when start is attemptedwith the shift lever is in park?

is the Park light lit up as well?

its not the neutral safety switch if it cranks. The NSS stops the engine from cranking.

I would check for spark and fuel. see which one isnt running.
