new Accord EX-V6 will not start
Just received my new Accord EX-V6 today.
The test drive was OK and several start and stop are also OK during the day.
After parking in garage for about one hour, it refused to start the engine.
The battery feels strong, the starter carks powerful but it just refused to fire up the engine.
No code or warning light on.
There is shooo sound when the key is in the start position. I compared it to my 05 Accord and gives the same kind of shooo sound just not as loud.
Any clue?

RE: new Accord EX-V6 will not start
My problem solved with a gentleman's suggestion from NG.
He pointed out trying the "flooding" way of starting the tranmission.
It worked by pressing pedal all the way down while cranking.
This solved the embarrasing situation of my first day new car ownership and leaves a BIG question mark on Honda QC...

Actually, I don't have all the information on this, but I remember reading, that this is a sort of "known issue" so to speak. The failure to start on first crank is often due to moisture gathering on some/one of the engine components.
I know this isn't the most helpful of posts, but essentially, it speaks to the point of "starting" and how it can be a problem at various times. What I do is, I put the key in the ignition, click it through and wait for the "shhooo" sound. Then I watch my gas meter. Once the meter rises and settles in place, THEN I turn it over and start the engine. This seems to be working for me.
Good luck with that.

On fuel injected cars you should not have to push the gas pedal down to make car start,,, if it happens again take it to the dealer while still under warranty,,
