new cv joint, now car wont go PLEASE HELP
well we replaced the cv joint on the front driver side of the car. Now when we put the car in drive let off the brakes and press the gas the car will not move and it makes a HORRIBLE grinding noise. Any idea what this might be. oh and its a 89 honda accord lxi 4door

If it's not moving and making noises, this means something isn't catching, was the car drove ok before ? If it was driving ok then there is something wrong with the axle itself, or the installation. If it's not the axle then i would say check the splines inside the diff with a flash light, make sure that the splines are not all stripped out. Worse case is either the spider gears inside the diff is all chipped up or blown dìff pin. Try jack the car up with both front tires off the ground (be careful) with e-brake apply get down and listen to where is the noise coming from.

yes the car drove amazing befor but if i turned to sharp the cv joint would make a poping noise.. well one day i was turning into my neighbor hood and it FINALLY gave on the inner joint and i had to have the car towed home (it sucked) needless to say we changed the upper control arm, lower ball joint, upper ball joint, got pretty much all new bushings, and a new cv joint...put it all back together and now the car will make a horrible grinding noise going into gear and will not move for the life of it just grinds and we turn the car back off

You may have been sold wrong axle and shaft is slightly too small. You could have major damage if female splines are sheared out or damaged in differential. Differential removal/reinstallation would likely be necessary.
If you were sold improper part resulting in damage, you may have a legal claim, but you'll need to document everything.
good luck
