New in the forum with some problems!
Like I said in my fisrt post, I bought a 95 Accord EX at, and have some issues with the car.
I start the car and it’s everithing Ok, the check engine turns off after a few seconds and the D4 too, but when I shift to D4 and the car start to run, I feel a little cut, like an electronic cut and the check engine light turns on, and the D4 light strat to flash.
When this happen the engine sut the revs at 3000rpm, and had a low Iddle, and several times the engine turn off when I try to stop.
I put a jump in the blue conector near the glovebox, and the check engine light indicate the number 21, I check and this is the VTEC solenoid valve, I disconect it, and check it, the solenoid is Ok.
This model with AT transmission have a “safe mode” or something like this?, it never happened to me whith a manual transmission car...
I appreciate any advice about this problem, is very difficult to use the car in this condition!

Usually when the CEL and D4 lights come on it is the vehicle speed sensor. Recheck that the CEL is flashing a code 21. There could be multiple codes, so make sure that you recount them on the second time they flash. Also count the D4 flashes, because that indicates codes stored in the trans control unit.
The accord does have a limp mode, and it sounds like what the car is doing.

RE: New in the forum with some problems!
Thank you for your help!
I check the codes again, and I can read code 21 in the cel light and code 14 in the D4 light, Code 14 means to be IACV failure, and the iddle is too low, but I can't understand why the rev limiter is on 3000??
The speedometer and the cruise control works Ok, the transmission shifts for 1 to 4 all the time, even when the D4 light is flashing...
Could you explain more about the "limp mode" I never heard about this...
Thank you again!

Code 14 means short in fas. There is a different list of codes for the D4 light (tcu codes). If you go the DIY section and open the link in thread called ACC 5th Gen..., you can download a pdf of the shop manual for a 94 accord (almost identical to the 95). The ecu codes are in the fuel pdf and the tcu codes are under the tranny section.
Limp mode is basically a "safe mode" so the car can get you home. It trys to prevent damage to the tranny/engine.

I believe if you are low on oil, the vtec solenoid wont function properly thusthrowing a cel code, and i think it will even limit engine speed, possibly being your 3000rpm problem. Just a thought.
