hi my name is jolene. I just bought my first honda accord. I bought it to fix up for my 16 year old daughter. Well i have ran into some problems. First off it is a 90 honda accord 4 door auto 2.2 engine. when i got the car i was tolld all it need was a heater blower and a powersteering belt.
first thing i did was put a belt on it, that is when the problems started. my temp gauge flew up past the H really quick and then My throttle cable broke. the cable from the gas pedal. I dont know what to do, I have worked on many cars and truck and there has never been a problem i couldnt fix until now. can someone plz help me out.

Check to see if you have a new or old radiator cap..have it tested at a AutoZone....car has to be cool so go there with pleanty time to let your radiator cool off. Also, you may want to put in a new thermostat...you can check that one in your car when you take it out. Put it in a boiling pot of water and see if it opens up. As cheap as they are I would just replace it .
