Hey all, new to the forum. I recently purchase a solid accord. Had the timing chain done, breaks and fuel lines done as well. Plus has a DNA Motoring exhaust thrown on, well found out later that the back part of the subframe is starting to go. Only bad thing wrong with it too. I was wondering where in Canada would I be able to get the rear front beam?
You can price one from the Honda dealership to get an idea of what a new one would cost and get the OEM part number. Sites like hondapartsnow.com will give you an idea of a new part.
I'd look at a site like car-part.com and find a used part from a region of the US that doesn't deal with snow like Texas, Arizona, California to ensure it is not rotted due to salting the roads. You'd have to call to find out the cost to ship + the part cost vs buying a new one. I think the part will be called engine cradle. I picked up the front engine cradlle for ~$100 a few years ago on my TSX that had zero rust. I just replaced the bushings as I had the part out of the car anyways.
Once you get the OEM part number needed for your car, you can also look on ebay to find one as well.
Not sure if you plan on doing work yourself but if you are a word of advice make sure that you use a torch to heat up
all the rusty bolts/nuts, if they snap while removing them , I don't want to be in your shoes
I used to live in rust country seen a lot of rusty bolts snap upon removing , in such rusty conditions , torch is your best friend
