to answer your question no the srs light is not on

That vent tube should have a breather cap (#5 in the picture). It doesn't SEAL the vent tube, but caps it so crud doesn't drop down inside. Probably only a few dollars at the dealer.

so that should be capped off? how can i check trans fluid if there is no dipstick? also the horn works but it is attached to a stupid little button on the dash instead of the steering wheel controls, im thinking wires disconnected as the c.c. buttons on the wheel are not working either? Sorry for stupid questions, im actually a good mechanic when it comes to diesel engines and American motors, i even got pretty good with toyota motors when i had my 4runner but this front wheel drive honda engine baffels me.

also is there anyway for me to figure out exactly what motor "the name or type" that i have in this accord?

to check the trans fluid you pull the bolt (listed as 14 in the above picture) the opil level should be even with the hole. Make sure to check on level ground.

Also if you are missing the cap over the vent hole buy about a foot of hose that fits onto the vent hole, run it up then bend it back down (upside down U)

The trans needs to be able to vent but you do not want water or dirt to get into the trans.

I would go ahead and drain the trans and fill it with fresh fluid.

Where the engine meets the transmission there is a flat surface on the engine that will be stamped with the engine code. Yours should say F22B1 if its the stock engine.

And it sounds like a previous owner messed with the wiring with your horn/cruise control .

The 22 in F22B1 for the EX refers to 2.2 liters.

Here is info. regarding checking transmission fluid on the 5-speed from the owner's manual.

I believe that is the case here, im starting to go through and remove all the excess wiring and trying to get everything back to factory default wiring as there is so much stupid crap wiring done im going to do away with amp wiring and all.
