New master cylinder, mushy brakes
Small leak in master cyl, so had it replaced. Got it back from the shop, and the brakes are now very soft. Took it back, they rebled the brakes and it's now only slightly better. The pedal goes 2/3 down before noticeable stopping occurs. They were not soft before the cyl was replaced. Ideas?

Normally you want to bench-bleed the master cylinder before installing. Otherwise you have to bleed tons & tons of fluid. I've done this & it seems like you're done bleeding and the fluid comes out clear without bubbles.
But if you keep bleeding, eventually you get a few more bubbles then you're finally done.

I got my annual inspection passed 3 weeks ago, however I noticed leaking on driveway in different place. What may cause it? How is it possible it passed in first place if mechanic neglected checking all brake hoses etc.
First, was it oily or watery?
Does it smell sweet? Open the radiator (when its cold) & see if it smells the same.
Brake fluid has its own smell - open the master-cylinder fluid reservoir to compare.
Transmission fluid & engine oil feel similar, both oily.
