Hi I own a 94 Acoord Ex, I just replaced the transmission on it. I started driving and noticed the spedometer isn't working then I drove for about 5 minutes then the d4 light started blinking. Then another minute or so went by then the CEL went on. What could this be? and is it ok for me to drive to work tomorrow? I drive about 40 miles.

 

At the top of this General Tech Help section, there is a sticky "Common DIY and Other Info. Threads." Look for the instructions to retrieve the trouble codes for your car. You can use a piece of wire to jump a blue Service Check Connector and count the blinking indicator lights.

It may turn out to be the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS); but, get the code(s) to confirm.
