No dashlight, parking light (front or rear), no 'ding' from headlights being left on
hmm.. that jars my memory.
When it first started happening, I remember my lights being off. As I was going down the road... I remember hitting my left foot near the fuse box (the one inside the drivers side at foot level)(just to left of clutch) and dash lights came back on.
Maybe I have some sort of loose connection in that area of the fuse box. But.. there are so many fuses there... why wouldn't anything else be affected if something is loose in the fuse box.

Did you find the problem. I'm having the same problem, just bought a 96 accord for 400 bucks. guy told me the engine didn't work but it was a wiring problem. I wired everything back to how it comes out of the factory and it runs great, compression is all their. (I came up)but the parking light/guage lights wont work. i check ground and followed the red/black wire and everything is fine. no blown fuse. if i run a wire from power the the dimmer box, the guage cluster lights up, so it has to be a wire problem, i just can't seem to find it. the only thing that wrong with the car is that the radio harness is cut, but i know that can't be it. so did you fine out the problem. sorry for the long story, but i'm trying to get this fix, and I wanted you to know what i've done and tried.

Found my problem, might be yours too. I need a new dimmer/light box. I started hitting my dashboard and i notice that my gauge cluster would turn on and off, so i took out the dimmer box from the dash board and i smack it hard and that was it. what a hassel, yet so simple. hopes that fixes your problem also...
