Does the old or new radiator cap have a letter A stamped on it?

Is this an LX,DX, or EX? What kind of spark plugs did you use?

It sounds like it is an EX. If you look at the valve cover on the engine, it should have the honda logo and vtec. If it has 16-valve, then it is a LX or DX.

If you go to the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to online shop manuals. That thread has a link to honda-tech where you can download a 94 honda accord shop manual. This will help a lot.

The OEM plugs are the NGK ZFR5F-11 (copper tipped plugs). I doubt the plugs are your problem. I would recheck the firing order. The firing order is 1-3-4-2 when you look at the distributor cap from the passenger side of the engine bay and go clockwise.

Here is the picture of the EX (F22B1 engine top) and the LX/DX (F22B2).

You may have gotten information for the LX/DX cap.

Let us know if this helps.

No problem. I'm glad it was something simple and you figured it out.
