Default Noise from driver side rear wheel

I have a humming noise coming from the driver side rear wheel of my 2000 Accord EX Coupe. The faster the car goes the higher pitched the sounds gets. My first thought was the bearing is going out. A friend of mine thinks it might be the brake. What do you guys think?

Welcome new member!

I think it's pretty easy to check & determine for sure. Take off the wheel, caliper, & spin the hub to check the bearing.

You describe it as a humming sound. That sounds to me like bearing, rather than brake. But I can't really hear it from here...

raise the wheel off the ground ( floor jack ) E-brake off of course,, first chk the tire spin it all the way around to make sure that it is not cupped or wearing funny.. if tire is ok, .. spin the wheel to chk for bearing noise,, do not remove the wheel, you can spin it faster with the wheel on,
if rear pads,, chk the pads while there

Thanks guys. I'm going to jack it up tonight after work to be sure exactly what it is. But it is sounding more and more likely that it is the bearings.
