Default Noise locating

An easy way to find out where a noise is coming from, is to take a long screwdriver, put the tip on the suspect part and the handle up against your ear. This works really well for pulleys, but also for areas on the engine and trans. On engines that you can run with the valve covers off, its a great way to find out if a lifter or follower is bad. Even rocker arms for OHV engines.
