NOOB ECU Compatibility Question

Compression is acceptable I think (drivers side to passenger side 110-120-120-130) I did have a bad fuel injector code for cylinder 3. Would that make starting difficult? Also, I cleaned the IACV, and it was incredibly dirty. I'm guessing in 19 years it has never been off the car. I now have a surging idle when it starts.

Those numbers, while very low, might well be OK if tested on a really cold engine. Did you clean tighten the FITV when you cleaned the IACV?
Take the thermostat out and run the engine without it. Does the gauge still shoot up/the lower hose remain cold?
Consider putting the year and trim level of your car in your signature so we don't have to go back to the first page.
The temp needle go's hot pretty quick too, but the upper rad hose is hot and the other is not which is good so I think the coolant temp sensor may be bad.

Thermostat was fine, I did the FITV adjustment, 2 full turns loose. I also change the ECT just for the heck of it. So here's where I am at, after these two things I opened the radiator cap to top off the coolant since a little came out while working on the car this morning. I smell a chemical smell almost like gas. Cracked block? The compression test didn't leak out so it wouldn't be a cylinder or head issue, right?
I'm not sure how to add a picture but I took one of the underside of my oil cap and its a creamy, paste color.

The fuel pump priming indefinitely points to the PCM in my book.
Check out car-part.com for used PCMs. That site searches junkyards and sorts by price or distance. You may be able to find a cheap one nearby.
