Default OBD II

I am looking to get cable for OBD II so that I have it for my 96 accord LX here is the thing I want to get the USB cable so I can use it with my laptop and also use it for other vehicle. My friend and I do a lot of side jobs. Is there different OBD II to USB cables and if so which do I want and what software is recommended. Remember I want it for my honda but would also like to be able to use on his pony, his wife's Nissan, my girlfriends Mercury since they're all 96 or newer.

Thanks
Marc

Default RE: OBD II

I eneded up getting the BR3 from http://obddiagnostics.com/index.html
Hooked it up to my Honda today and since I had my check engine light
on found out it was a EGR system problem. Hope to get it fixed soon. So
far the BR3 has been great. Software is good and cable was $88 inc.
shipping. Since I work a lot on cars it's great since it covers every obd2
(not including the new can system) As I use it more I will post more
reviews.
