Default Oil Dipstick Leak

Hello all! I am new to this forum and am thoroughly enjoying it so far!

I own an '08 Accord and am having an issue with a leak from where the oil dipstick goes into the engine. I have noticed small oil spots on the floor in the garage.....well after opening the hood to check the oil level, I noticed that there was a trail of gunked up oil leading from where the stick goes into the engine on down the engine to the floor. I cleaned it all up as best as could, but am wondering is anyone else having this problem and if so whats the fix.

I also noticed that there are two small rubber gaskets at the top end of the dip stick. Could it be that all I need to do is replace those gaskets? Any thoughts/help/advice is certainly welcome! Thanks!

If those o-rings are not sealing off then that could be the source. Didn't see the o-rings listed by themselves, the "stick" was listed for ~$10 online.

Thanks! Yeah, I just went ahead and ordered a new dipstick from Honda for $7. Hopefully this will be the end to this problem.

Just put in my new oil dipstick. I can definitely tell a difference between the new one with the new "O-Rings" as opposed to the old one with worn out "O-Rings." The new one actually has to be slightly forced in where as the old one slid in with little resistance. Problem Solved!
