Hey guys, I have a 2010 Honda Accord exl b6 3.5l recently wiped down the front of my motor some, and looked at it today and noticed oil on my motor again (more on the passenger side) and on top of my alternator. I took pics and wanted your opinions. Do you think it’s the vtec solenoid, spool cover gasket, or the valve cover. Your assistance is appreciated
Clean it good and get a VC kit. Should come with VC gasket, tube seals and screw gaskets. Looks like that's all you need. How many miles to you have on your car.

the valve cover gasket was replaced a couple years ago. Has 160k miles
Oh ok. There is not other way for oil to get on top of the VC unless it was spilled while filling. Were the screw gaskets replaced with the VC gasket? Either is wasn't done or not done correctly. Now for the side I would just clean it up after replacing the VC gasket kit and see if it's leaking from anywhere else.
I don't see how the a solenoid leak can rise to the top of the screws and leak al down the front of the engine. The VC gasket needs to be replaced.
The valve cover gasket also comes with seals for each coil pack that may or may not have been installed. Pull each coil pack to see if you have oil in the spark plug tube.
If not, clean up the oil, and see if it was spilled oil when doing an oil change.

I have the same car, same leak and yeah, it goes all over the place and the only place you ever see it golden wet is right on the VTT/spool valve/whatever you call it. It likely leaks onto the serpentine belt and flies all over the place (one explanation I've heard). It's honestly shocking how it gets all over the place but really doesn't leak oil that fast. I've had the leak now for over a year (been delaying fixing it due to so many horror stories of people having to try several times to get it to stop leaking). Meanwhile I've had a foil hat fashioned over my alternator which seems to slow that down from dying, haha.
PS. Not over - torquing the 3 bolts is critical. 6 ft. lbs. (72 inch pounds), many folks recommend a 1/4" wrench, or 3/8 at most. There are numerous reports of people over tightening these and them leaking. See service bullteting, TSB, below.
