Default Oil leak honda accord 1994 ex

Was just wondering if its common or not for there to be allot oil on the two wires above the oil pump on my car or not. If not what is it, and how do I replace it?

I didn't mean the oil pump...oops dont post I guess when tired. Its above the oil filter. And it always covered in oil, and it doesn't seem to be leaking all that much but enough to always keep the wires soaked in oil, I can post a picture tonight if need be. Unless of course I can find one somewhere on the net.

Sounds like your oil pressure sensor is leaking oil

on my 97 Accord, had oil leaking down the side of the block, all over the oil filter. Thought the oil filter gasket was bad, so put a new filter on, still leaked though. Ended up starting the car up, getting underneath with a mirror, as the oil PS is kinda recessed back. Turns out the oil pressure switch was it. Got a new one from the dealer, easy to change out and think it was a 23mm socket. Did not have that size, but a 15/16 worked well if I recall.

Here's a picture, I tried circling it in red but it didn't work to well >_> The oil filter doesn't seem to ever be covered in oil but this wire thing does.

That line contains coolant not oil.

Are you sure it is oil that is leaking?

Edit - You have circled the Oil Pressure Switch.

It needs to be replaced.

Oh alright thanks, your edit didn't come in lol. Well I guess I'll be changing that out. Will a lot of oil come out when I change it or no? And I assume there isn't anywhere to buy one cheaper than $60 at autozone?

The honda dealership one was ~$20. Sometimes the dealership does has better prices.
