Oil on spark plug

If you have oil on the threads, then the valve seal, the valve, or possibly the piston rings.

If your valvecover gasket leaks down into the sparkplug tubes, that will get onto the threads as you remove the spark plug.

The valves & rings will let oil into the combustion chamber, where it will show up on the FIRING TIP of the plug, and would be kinda blackened & burnt. Not nice clean new oil.
