Just wondering if the doors on the '13 Accord Touring, once locked and car is in motion, will they unlock automatically in a crash or when the air-bags are deployed? Thanks,HB

I've moved this to general tech.

Interesting question, I don't really know.....Anything in the owners manual about this?

A bit of googling suggests BMW, MB and VW at least do unlock in a crash. Seems a good feature and obviously do-able from programming POV.

good luck

A little OT but I witnessed a Hyundai T-bone another car at an intersection. The airbag deployed and the driver bailed out through the door as the car continued on after the bag deployed. She actually sorta fell out- no seat belt. The car continued through the intersection where it struck a building and just continued running until I shut it off. The driver told me the doors were locked and she did not unlock them. No serious injuries.
