Default One Headlight out in 1999 Sedan, replaced bulb still not working, help!

Hello, I have a 1999 v6 sedan.

Last week the driver's side headlight went out. I bought a new bulb (yes, the correct one) but it still won't come on. The highbeams work on both sides and the passenger headlight normal beam works fine.

I figured it might be a fuse, but usually both would go out. I pulled the fuse panel door by the driver's door and there is no fuse for the headlights. Am I missing something?

The plug and all wires leading to the driver's side headlamp appear to be in good shape and nothing noticble is loose or corroded.

I have to take the car in for an oil change this week anyway, but don't feel like paying my mechanic a bunch of money to diagnose or troubleshoot this if it is something simple.

Thanks.

There is a fuse box in the engine bay that has the headlight fuses in there. There is a fuse for each headlight.

I checked the box in the engine bay and both 20A healight fuses are fine.

This is killing me because I got a ticket for one headlight the other evening. My mechanic said it might be a "wiring problem", which means I will have to pay him a lot of money to track it down.

Is there something I am missing? Anyone else ever have a headlight out and neither fuse nor bulb are bad? This is an EX V6 by the way. Thanks.

You will need a volt meter to do some testing. I would start at the electrical connector for the headlight that is not working. Unplug that connector. Turn on the headlights. Put the red meter lead on the non-black pin of the electrical connector. Put the black meter lead on the valve cover. See if you have have about 12V.

Let us know what you find.

Ok it's all fixed now...

overall this issue will only cost me the headlight ticket and the cost of the bulb...

thanks for your help!
