Question ONE last question :]

ok so if someone could give me the proper PSI specs for my A/C system's Low side... i picked up my own 134a, and it has a gauge on it, but i want to know what the specs would be.... with the compressor on, with it off, and with the ac on max.... ( for a 96 accord Ex, 4 cyl Vtec), because i know theres a leak somewhere, but in the meantime, im just gonna keep it topped off.... thanx in advance well the ambiant was around 80 and humidity was around 20%.. (dry) im in new mexico... but ya, when i had it on full blast, i got about just 30... and when the compressor was off it was like 23... (blue section) 30's (the "OK" green section)

Low side only? I'd look for something in the 24~35 range. Charging a system by pressure only has a ton of varibles involved......I think on those "gauges" they have that green, yellow, red type markings on there.

Look for some recent posts by Texashonda on proper low and high side readings at dif temps/humid levels....

Those gauges aren't too accurate on those cans.

To get a proper idea of the a/c charge, you need a manifold to test the high and low pressure sides of the system.

For the high pressure, the pressure should be about twice the outside air temperature with the engine running at 900 rpm for 10 minutes. Max cool, doors open.

The low side pressure under the same conditions should be less than half the temperature at the vents.

Copy and paste this link into your browser to see the test I am describing.
