I purchased a 2015 Honda Accord sedan from my sister-in-law who said she thinks she blew the engine because the mechanic said she had no compression in 1 cylinder and low compression in the 3rd cylinder. I bought the car dirt cheap and put a used engine and transmission from a salvage yard. My mechanic install it but when he was finished it idled good but would not go past 2000 on the rpm’s and a max speed of 25. Took it to a dealer and they said it was the computer not sending a ground to the throttle body. When they were done installing a new computer, the previous 3 codes disappeared but now the car ran rough. A new code popped up, 281e which according to the dealership it is a transmission solenoid stuck open and if not that it could be the whole transmission. Transmission only has 54k miles on it. My question is would this transmission solenoid make the engine run rough?
