Hey I currently have a '04 Honda accord and I noticed some loud noises coming from my car. I pulled over and found out something had come off my car but I don't know what this part is.

Can anyone help me figure this out? I want to know what i'm dealing with before I bring it to a shop. Thanks!

 

That appears to be a catalic converter.. I think

 

Looks to be the catalytic converter lower or upper cover. #5 or 6 in the parts diagram.

 

I'm with redbull, cat cover. Some places can will just intall a hose clamp over the cover to get it back in place......do not let the shop tell you you need a new cat, big money.

At a shop, I'd call that ~ or less than a $100 fix.
