Possible problem with the ignition switch. See this Honda technical service bulletin (TSB):

Default Please help..Accord stalling issues

I have a 1999 honda accord LX 5 speed.

Symptoms:
1. When real hot outside car will not start-Takes numerous cranks while pushing gas pedal for it start.

2. While driving, car will sometimes stall. I turn the key and it starts running again. I do this while coasting.

Just replaced distrubutor at honda.

When stall occurs turn keyswitch to On and listen very carefully for the fuel pump to turn on for 2-3 secs and turn off. Fuel pump is in fuel tank so quiet conditions necessary or helper at fuel inlet to listen.

If no sound occurs when no-start is present, fuel delivery is missing. This means bad main fuel relay or sticking fuel pump.

If you hear fuel pump turn on, run 2-3 secs, and turn off every time you turn keyswitch to On, then fuel delivery is very likely and problem is probably ignition related.

Also notice (w/ no start condition) when you turn keyswitch to On whether Check Engine light comes on for 2-3 secs and goes off w/ fuel pump. If no check engine light, the ignition switch may be faulty. New switch is fix.

good luck

When I turned car on, I did hear a 2-3 second something...not sure if it was the fuel pump though
