Default PLEASE HELP (DESPERATE)

Hi! I am new here and need help because I cannot even find the part though I might have a idea I need you guys to help me. Name's Adam and I come from Canada. I need help! 1987 Honda Accord LX-i. Guy says this sensor called PGI-sensor needs to be replaced. Problem of the car---> the idle is way off, when you stop the car goes up to 4000rpm! When you put gas goes back down to 2000rpm but still has idle problem because sensor is missing. Engine has 220 000 km. PLEASE HELP!

Maybe a strange name for the sensor? Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com & put in your car's info. Look at parts drawings & point out the sensor to us, maybe thenwe'll knowwhich one you're talking about. Look at...
intake manifold
throttle body
water pump/sensors

Hey guys. I think he is saying he cannot find the part and is asking us if we know where it is.
I have an idea. Why don't weignore what the mechanic told himand try to diagnose the wierd idle issue he is having. (I believe that is what deserthonda is doing.)

Darkside, is your "Check Engine" light on?

Coolant ok and no leaks. Valve adjustement not problem because sensor is missing. Light on dash is red and says PGM-FI also light is on upper corner of dash to the left on driver side. Other than that guy sell it for 500$ and works ok. Just need help to find sensor so it works. Radiator is good also.

No engine light not on but I did find that the light of PGM-FI was on. I think I might be missing the fast idle sensor? When I looked at engine the sensor was missing completely and guy showed me old one and says it's broken. Other than muffler car is amazing and in good condition!

You are amazing! Thanks for that web site and by the way can you please be nice and tell me where to get honda accord 1987 manuel in maybe pdf or any other format on the internet. I would appreciate this. The sensor is related to something called the fast idle sensor but I am not sure so double check but I do not see any problems related to the one of the water pump. The sensor does look similar to the one the guy showed that was broken.
