i have a 1998 automatic honda accord 2dr v6
when i hit the gas the rpm goes up really high and it takes a while to move.
I'm scared to drive it around.
If you have any clue what the problem is please reply asap
your help would be appreciated thank you

 

You are describing a transmission issue. I would suggest checking the fluid level to start off and let us know what you find.

Sounds like classic 98-02 Honda Accord automatic transmission failure to me..

 

i have to agree , tranny issues...........as advised chk fluid level first,,,,,,,,,if it looks dirty, replace it using Honda ATF-Z1 ( 3 qts ) ,, see if that helps,,
