Default Possible Oil Leak - 2010 EX-L V6 3.5L

Hey all, I’ve since had no issues with the alternator or CEL. Today I checked my oil, and it was subpar. I checked the dipstick after about 7 mins after running it for about 45 minutes. I will attach a video of the front and back gasket, poor quality as it started raining and I ran inside. Any assistance on how to proceed would be appreciated. I see no oil burning, I see no oil at either valve cover gaskets, or under my vehicle when it sits.

thank you

Who does your oil change? Could it be that not enough oil was put in to begin with. Have you checked your spark plug tubes? With that much oil gone you should see something unless the valve stem seals are leaking. Do you have smoke coming from tail pipe when idle or driving.

Is your V6 an automatic or manual transmission? Do you notice black soot on the exhaust tip?

Many 8th gen V6 with AT were known to have excessive oil consumption.

Many 8th gen L4 were known to have excessive oil consumption.

Not everyone experienced it; but alot. Honda had extended warranties which expired for most 8th gen Accords; due in part to lawsuit settlements. The real fix was to replace the oil control rings on the pistons.

tiresplus does it. I guess that’s a possibility, I just added 3/4 of a quart. I haven’t checked the spark plug tubes yet but I will. I’ll monitor and see what’s going on. I have no smoke at idle, nor do I see a leak from the valve covers

I'm pretty sure 1qt of oil is not in the tubes after 1k miles driven. I'm putting my bet on them short changing you

these are pics of my exhaust tips, just darkened, not much soot. It’s wet because I’m in Florida and it was just pouring.

yeah I actually used 1/3 and it’s about at the halfway point on my dipstick. I’ll monitor it and see what happens. Thank you
