Oil Leak?

Default Oil Leak?

This is a picture taken from the button passenger side of the car. It looks like oil when i touch it, where it is coming from i have a 2003 honda accord 4dr.

Take a look at the back of the motor and see if you can tell where it's coming from... Have you had your oil changed lately? Perhaps your oil filter is just loose.

its coming from under where the recom...(something) belt is, and yes i just had my oil changed today because it was very low im suprised the oil light didnt come on.

The oil filter sits horizontally so when the old filter is removed it often drips old oil all over there. Itmightbe that's just leftover from your oil change. I guess the shop should have cleaned up better.

Keep checking the oil level with the dipstick just in caseitIS an ongoing leak.

The 03 engine has the pulleys on the passenger side of the car right?

You are going to have to get under the car (use jackstands), and feel for the highest point on the back of the engine that is covered with oil. A garage should easily be able to locate the oil leak for you too.

If there is oil above the oil filter, then suspect a leaking oil sending unit or possibly valve cover gasket. If it is dripping from the timing belt cover, then supect a bad seal on the cam, crank, balance shaft or oil pump.
