A problem with my headlights...

Exactly. As soon as the second light dial setting is selected the fuse blows (assuming thats the highbeams...in the camaro you would click the whole stick towards to wheel). If you turn the dial just once, the fuse and everything is intack... thats when I was hoping the lowbeam lights may work if I replaced them.

I found out whats happened... somewhere in the left wiring there's a short. Seems like the people before me couldn't find it either and purchased another headlight connector, wiring it into the right headlight wires by the battery and ran it down in front of the rad. After I repaired the shawty connecting they did and replaced the bulbs, they both work on the right 20 AMP fuse.. is this ok for the time being or are they not going to be as bright? I figure it would overload the fuse but nope...
So for all I know the highbeams work they just lack the actual bulb.

Well, best is to fix the short in the original wires for the left headlight. But since your fix works, I guess it's OK. The fuse would be sized for the wire gauge (to avoid overheating the wires). Can you look up in the manual (maybe on the fusebox cover) whether that 20-amp fuse is the correct size for that circuit?
