Radiator 4 blade fan motor

Radiator 4 blade fan motor
The radiator fan motor on my 2002 Honda Accord LX 4 cyln
stoped working. In trying to find a replacement I found that there
are 4 blade and 5 blade fan motors. The problem is that my motor
is for a 4 blade fan, and all I can find is for a 5 blade fan. Does anyone
know where I can buy a 4 blade radiator fan motor at a reasonable
price or if I can swap out to a 5 blade motor and shroud
Thanks for any help.

I think that you can swap them out. The shrouds have different part numbers between the 4 and 5 blade fans. The 4-blade motor is made by valeo, and the 5-blade is denso, there is also a valeo radiator and a denso radiator.
The shroud may be different to accommodate the different fan motor. It may also be different to bolt on to the different radiators.
I think that picking one from a junkyard may be your best bet for a 4-blade. If they sell you a 5-blade motor and shroud, let us know how it fits.

I believe you can buy just the aftermarket fan motor and use your current shroud and fan blade.
When I was looking for an aftermarket replacement fan motor for my nephew's 1995 Accord, one part shop ask whether it was a 4 or 5 blade fan. I didn't know at the time as I didn't have the car. I next went to Kragens/O'Reilly's, they had just the motors without blades. They listed 2 different part numbers; so, I had the guy at Kragens show me both motors. Both motors looked identical, at least on the outside to us and listed similar specs. (I would think that for your 2002 Accord, you can just replace the motor similarly.)
Replacing the motor was fairly straight forward. The only modifications I needed to do was splice the new motor wires to the original fan connector plug and use a drill bit to slightly enlarge the mounting holes on the original fan shroud to fit the bolts and nuts that came with the new motor. IIRC, somehow the original mounting bolts, etc. couldn't be used on the new motor. The motor cost like $50 at Kragens.

Found an assembly
Thanks for the response. I found a new shroud and 4 blade fan motor
made by Dorman (Dorman 620-250 Radiator Fan Assembly)
for $75. I got a quote from Napa for the same model and part number at
$245, found another online for $185. Bought this thru Amazon. Sounds too
good to be true. Hope it’s not. Only draw back is I have to wait 10 days or so
to get it.
I had tried to find just a motor, but either the shaft was too long and the fan
wobbled or the shaft was not cut to fit my blade or the motor was for a 5 blade fan.
This assembly was less than the cost of a motor and Dorman I think is a good product.
