Default radiator fan runs

Just wanted to know if it is normal for the radiator fan to run once car is off. I notice this happens more often when I'm running the ac. If it's normal how long should this fan run once I'm parked and the car has been off for a while.

Not sure of the year, some have a timer and switch. some use just a switch....

Yes the fan running after the car is shut off is normal. Should turn off based upon ---this is where the year model engine come in?

Normal up to 1997. Beginning in 1998 they don't run after the key is turned off.

Beginning in 2003 it's another whole different fan control system, but I've never had my 2003 fan run after the key is turned off.

The 94-97 will run for about 10-15 minutes. Can't find the specific time in my manual right now.

It should run for only as long as the 2nd fan switch is closed. Then there's a timer which turns it off after 10 or 15 minutes just in case that fan switch sticks.

So if the engine isn't really very hot, it might only run for a minute or 2.

As your cooling system become less efficient it will go on more often if the temperature gauge is still running normal I wouldn’t be concerned.
